Technical issues delayed Ska band Skaardvark’s set, after the opening number, the band very amusingly improvised to the showcase audiences delight while technicalities were resolved. This was a solid and wonderfully inimitable act as well as being vocally and musically energetic, in my view, Skaardvark are one step beyond many acts of this ilk, due to their ability to turn any song ‘ska’. They demonstrated this skill with their renditions of Under the Sea from Disney’s The Little Mermaid and Eurythmics hit Sweet Dreams. This truly is a first-rate band who have clearly worked hard on the act and delivered with aplomb … Mark Ritchie Stratford Artshouse.
